MIAM
Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting
A MIAM is an initial, confidential meeting with a family mediator. The purpose of this meeting is to consider and establish whether you are able to resolve your issues without the need to go to court.

The mediator will guide you through the mediation process, explaining each step clearly to ensure you understand how it works. They will also discuss alternative options for reaching agreements, providing you with a comprehensive overview of the available pathways to resolution.

Following the meeting, the mediator will let you know if your case is suitable for mediation. You are then able to decide whether to continue with mediation or explore other options for resolving any issues you may have.
